The Board is aware from research that class size has bearing upon effective teaching/learning. (A ratio of approximately 15:1 students to teacher is shown by research to be an effective class size in the elementary school.) Therefore, the superintendent shall work towards establishing a reasonable and equitable class enrollment for each teacher, considering grade level, special needs students, and other applicable factors.
