Policy – Interscholastic athletics are extracurricular, not required instructional programs. Athletic programs provide wide participation in team and individual sports, develop competitive programs encouraging talented athletes and team spirit, foster good sportsmanship and ethical behavior, maintain positive relationships with the school community, teach progressive sport fundamentals, and create awareness of athletic opportunities.
