A fixed set of criteria will not be used to determine promotion from one grade or level to another, except at the middle school and senior high level. In general, the will-being of the individual pupils and the well-being of the group will be the determining factors. Upon entering the school system, placement will be determined after an examination of a student’s complete record. Testing may be used, but will count as only one factor in arriving at a placement decision. After initial placement, changes may be made based on the recommendations of the professional staff.
