New students entering from public schools and private schools and on-line programs accredited by the Colorado Department of Education shall be placed in grades and classes on the basis of their grade placement/credits in the school from which they are transferring. The district administration, through academic achievement tests and other evaluation measures as found necessary, shall determine the appropriate grade level/credit status of students transferring from home schools or private schools and on-line programs that have not been accredited by the Colorado Department of Education.
