Policy – Establishes due process procedures for student suspension, expulsion, and admission denial. Principals may suspend up to 5-10 days depending on grounds (maximum 25 days total); superintendent may add 20 days. Alternative allows parent classroom attendance instead of suspension. Students aged 12-18 charged with unlawful sexual behavior or violent crimes trigger safety assessment and possible expulsion. Annual expulsion reporting required to State Board, excluding expelled students from dropout calculations.
