Policy – Directs superintendent to ensure Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. Compliance activities include operational audit to determine HIPAA applicability, policy and regulation recommendations to Board, administrative procedure adoption and revision, record keeping implementation, document preparation, employee training, and all activities necessary for full compliance with federal privacy and security requirements.
