Homecoming activities were amazing. The football team won, the bonfire was huge, and the parade and the Tailgate Burrito fest were successful. Next year will be even bigger and better! Thank you to all who helped to make this the best homecoming ever!
First quarter ends on Friday, October 10th. Report cards will be mailed home the following week. If your child has earned a D or F grade in any class, that teacher will be contacting you to discuss how your child might need more support to raise that grade.
Parent Teacher Conferences that were held September 24th showed how much our school and families are working together for the betterment of each and every student. The middle school had 70% of the parents come to visit with the middle school teachers. Next time our goal is 100%. The open communication between home and school certainly increases student achievement. Thank you to those parents who were able to attend.
The National Honor Society is pleased to announce the induction of five new members to the organization. Congratulations to Kylie Deal, Chase Clements, Albert Amaya, Sara Strouse and Charlene Madden. Finally, attendance is crucial to the academic growth of all students. Research shows that children who are in school most of the time do better in school and on state assessments. The students have been doing a wonderful job of being present and ready to learn up to this point. Let’s continue to make attendance a priority.
Thank you, students and parents, for the commitment to Miami Yoder Schools and our drive for excellence.
