Miami Yoder has implemented a limited service, After School Activities transportation service, to provide the opportunity for our rural students to participate in activities or receive additional tutoring after school, that might not otherwise be possible, due to lack of transportation.

Two routes, a northern and southern one  run each evening after school, but, due to constraints, only stop at designated points.

Students who ride the bus must be picked up by a parent/guardian at a designated stop.  Parents can contact the school during regular business hours to report carpool arrangements with neighbors or designate responsible parties who will meet their child at the bus stop, if they are unable to meet the bus themselves.

Children who are not met at their designated stop, are required to return to school, until picked up by responsible party.

We have been pleased with the number of students empowered to participate in activities given this additional resource; however, we do need the help of the parents or cooperation of community carpools in ensuring the safety of our children during these evening runs.

If you have any questions, please contact Desiree McKnight or Transportation Director for more information.

Thank you for your support.
